Why is long hair for men consider not proper ?didnt jesus of whom is worship by so many had long hair?

wrong section, bad spelling. go to bed.

what makes you think He had long hair? Why is long hair for men consider not proper ?didnt jesus of whom is worship by so many had long hair?
As men are/were sent out to fight battles hair that was to long interfered with your vision and left you open for a blind sided attack. most either braided their long hair or stuffed it under their helmets as extra padding and otherwise bound it so it would not get in the way of the eyes or be caught by the person your fighting.

hair was either cut with a knife or scissors when they were invented and most men tried to keep it at shoulder length as the best compromise between weather protection and the ability to fight .Why is long hair for men consider not proper ?didnt jesus of whom is worship by so many had long hair?
To be honest, I don't know that he did have long hair. Never met him personally. Have you?

Actually, I heard this story once.

A kid turned 16 and wanted his dad to buy him a new car. His dad agreed if he would keep up his grades, behave, and cut his hair. The kid through the course of time did all his father asked except cut his hair. When he went back to his father and asked for the car, his father replied. '; I see you kept up your grades and are well behaved, but you did not cut your hair. '; The kid told his father, well all the men in the bible had long hair. Jesus had long hair and I want to be like Jesus. To this the father replied, '; That is true son, but you are aware that Jesus walked everywhere he went?
Well, that was a long time ago, that's why. Do you wear a long robe made of natural fibers daily, as He did?
actually the idea of short hair for men and long hair for women is a relatively recent thing. Over the centuries the styles have changed. Nobody knows what Jesus looked like so nobody knows if he had long or short hair . Thats just the way they painted him in the pictures and may not be historicallly accurate.
people who don't consider long hair for men okay are closed minde, judemental, and fearful because of their own insecrities
I don't think that is a true statement anymore. Maybe in the 50's, 60's when the stereotype of Greaser, Hippie era for those men wearing their hair long and/or long, slick. Most employers are pretty tolerant as well as society. Long hair weither male or female can be quite becomming as long as it's clean and healthy looking.
Jesus never had long hair.

The idea for this image came from many sources during the Renaissance period, but has no actual foundation in fact whatsoever.

Jesus was born and raised in a Jewish family home, prayed Jewish prayers, celebrated Jewish delebrations and understood the Law of the ';Torah'; (what we now call the ';Old Testament';) perfectly, following Jewish customs in personal appearance and hygiene which, including keeping his hair short (no more than shoulder-length) at the time, were the highest and most hygienic standards of the ancient world.

That is because they obeyed God's instructions concerning many things which we have only recently have begun learning about today, and of course .. it protected them.

.
contrary to the pictures and paintings floating around, Jesus probably did not have long hair. He mostlikely followed Jewish tradition at the time and cut his hair very short. The many painitngs and drawings that we have of Jesus with long hair are all based upon regional traditions in Midieval and Reformationist Europe.
They don't worship Him, or at least they don't if they follow the Christian faith.

It depends on which society.

Besides, I think long hair can be kinda cute
It was not until more modern times did men not have long hair. It could be the invention of shears maybe. Maybe it was more like the first barber that went to school to learn about cutting hair who knows. I would have to give it a more pin point time period would have to be 1900's. Most likely the military brought the fashion of short hair. Everyone wanted to look like those dough boys coming back from fighting Germany after WWI. Kind of like today. I seen so many kids trying to look like soldiers. Especially after the first Gulf War.
The image of Jesus was the copied from a statue of zeus the greek god. No one knows what Jesus looked like. Proper or improper depends on wear you live. Some places long hair is great,as long as you wear a penis gord.
In the olden days, people did not have barbers to cut their hair.So it was obvious that Jesus did not cut his hair ,thus having long hair. And by the way it is not that long hair for men is improper,it is just that people around you do not prefer it!
no answer for that one that is the question that has pleged men who like to wear long hair for a while now, some say it is because they did not have siccors then , but now they did have really sharps knife so they have cut hair that way.. as for though who bring up clothes women wore theird to the ground and men just below the knee so i quess fashion changes through out the century so maybe hair does too. i think as long as you keep it clean then you should be able to wear what you want
Long hair is considered feminine, and barbaric.
In merry olde England only the men of high position and royal nobility were allowed the privilege to wear their hair long, the common man had to crop his short. During certain periods a common man could be hanged or drawn and quartered for daring to sport long hair. In fact the common man could be butchered for a number of whimsical reasons. This custom carried over to the new world and the thirteen colony's except there was no nobility to speak of, but still it was customary for only the wealthy or those of high position to wear long hair. Eventually short hair became the norm for all the classes as the United States did away with the powdered wigs and the frilly customs of the British and French nobility. The in vogue style of short hair for men has endured to the present day, however the only penalty for appearance now is meted out by social standing or lack of it. But still in most circles only the supported young men, the famous or wealthy can afford to wear long hair without having a compromised social or employment standing.
Long-hair for men currently has the stigma of the 1960's hippie-culture. They weren't notable for their work-ethics or hygiene. Doesn't really matter when your born...EVERY generation seeks to blame the one before for something. Just the way human-nature is apparently. Don't expect it to change.
